In October on Disney XD, ‘Star Wars Rebels will finally begin to bridge the gap between ‘Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith’ and ‘Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.’ But before the highly anticipated animated series debuts, a series of shorts are being released to introduce us to the major players in the show. Previously, we saw ‘The Ghost in the Machine,’ which featured Hera, Kanan, and Chopper on board their ship called Ghost. Now, we have a new three-minute short featuring the team’s resident Mandalorian explosives expert.

As of late, we’ve been getting a number of new looks at ‘Star Wars Rebels.’ Less than two weeks ago, we got to see a seven-minute preview during ‘Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars’. And now in the latest bit of promotional material for the first big ‘Star Wars’ project under the Disney banner, ‘Art Attack’ stars Tiya Sircar’s Sabine Wren, one of the show’s leads that is as “a sassy punk artist”, as she playfully messes with a few Stormtroopers by defacing a TIE Fighter to cause a diversion for her friends aboard the Ghost. You can check out the short below, followed by the show’s official synopsis:

‘Star Wars Rebels’ continues the epic tradition of the legendary Star Wars saga with all-new exciting, action-packed adventures.  It is a dark time in the galaxy, as the evil Galactic Empire tightens its grip of power from world to world.  As the series begins, Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people.  But there are a select few who are brave enough to stand up against the endless Stormtroopers and TIE fighters of the Empire: the clever and motley crew of the starship Ghost.  Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, have thrilling adventures, and become heroes.

Having not seen much of Sabine Wren yet, I can already tell that she may be a contender for my favorite character on ‘Star Wars Rebels.’ She’s very playful and likes to make things blow up, so that definitely sounds like an equation for a good time. Plus, check out that badass armor. But what do you think of her? Are you excited to see more of Sabine when the show airs this fall? Sound off in the comments.

‘Star Wars Rebels’ starring Freddie Prinze Jr., Taylor Gray, Steve Blum, and Vanessa Marshall premieres as a one-hour special on the Disney Channel before moving to Disney XD.
