While the first set of ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1‘ posters focused on a variety of districts, these new ones show off District 13. Well, they actually show the various characters that will be featured while in District 13 against a very drab wall that has ’13’ and their names written on it. I have a feeling we’re missing a few key characters here from the area. In case you couldn’t tell by their facial expressions and the mood of these shots, things are about to get much darker for our leads.
I love that the most recent banner that the studio has shared with us above so completely matches the horrible feeling that clearly those who are free of Panem are experiencing to survive. While they aren’t hopeless thanks to the rise of the Mockingjay, that doesn’t mean life is by any means easy or enjoyable.
First up is a shot of Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy:
Second up is Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket with a look like you’ve never seen her in before. A little different from her usual over the top and highly colorful dress:
In the third is Jeffrey Wright reprising his role as Beetee who has seen better days:
Next up is the brilliant and sadly deceased Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee:
Fifth up gives us Sam Claflin who you know better as the “Capitol’s Darling” Finnick Odair:
Finally we have newcomer Julianne Moore as President Alma Coin:
