Supposedly Marvel Studios and Walt Disney have sent out a full credited cast list for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy and in it we find out not only who Stan Lee and Nathan Fillion will be playing, but two other surprising cameos as well. Now first I have to declare that this is both spoiler territory and at the same time a rumor. The site claiming to have this casting information has not shown a screen shot or scanned copy of it. According to them “t’s not something we typically do and quite frankly there’s no easy, elegant way to do it, sorry.” Mmmhmm.

Also they have said that “No mention of Thanos in the credits and no mention of Brolin at all in the press kit.”

Considering it was announced that he is doing the role and will be in the movie, I’m already questioning how credible this is. Still, they are a site that is generally pretty accurate with Disney information so we’ll skip past my doubts and check in on what rumors this report is giving us!

First up is the staple of a good Marvel movie: the Stan Lee cameo. According to the credits we will see him as “Xandarian Ladies’ Man” which won’t be completely out of the norm for Mr. Lee.

Next up is Nathan Fillion who isn’t going to be playing Cosmo as he previously confirmed, but according to these credits he will be a “Monstrous Inmate.”

Next up are the surprises as it is being reported that Rob Zombie is set to voice the “Ravager Navigator Voice” and director James Gunn will also show up as a “Maskless Sakaaran.”

The best rumor to come from this, though, is the last casting announcement. It would seem that Howard the Duck is somehow going to show up in the movie as he is explicitly mentioned in the credits along with an attribution to his co-creators Steve Gerber and Val Mayerik

Howard the Duck! I won’t believe it and there is no reference if he’ll show up on screen or just be a comic that Peter Quill is reading before leaving Earth, but if any of these rumors pan out this would be my favorite part of them.

What do you think of the latest casting rumors and mention of Howard? Are you hoping they pan out or think they are just another set of baseless rumors? Share your thoughts below true believers!
