A popular pastime among fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is finding Stan Lee in all the movies. Since it’s inception, the legendary comic book creator has appeared in all the films released by Marvel Studios to date, in addition to ‘X-Men’, ‘Daredevil’, ‘Fantastic Four’, and the Spider-Man films. For a while, it was thought that he wouldn’t be appearing in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ since he didn’t create the team, but it looks like director James Gunn got the Generalissimo to reconsider. Now, the iconic figure has moved on to the set of ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ to film his cameo for Joss Whedon’s upcoming superhero sequel.

While attending the London Movies and Comic-Con and discussing the impact of the popular films from the House of Ideas, Lee revealed that he recently visited the cast and crew of the follow-up to ‘The Avengers’ so that he could shoot his trademark cameo. As an added bonus, he also shared who he may be sharing the screen with this time around:

“The movies have been great. We have been so lucky. We’ve got the best directors, the best special effects people and wonderful actors. People that had not been big stars before like the fellow who plays Thor (Chris Hemsworth) – he’s wonderful! I was with him yesterday – I did my cameo of course.”

Lee also joked that Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment should take a page out of Marvel’s book and enlist him for a scene or two in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’. After all, whether you’re a Marvel fan or a DC fan, you gotta love Stan “The Man” Lee!

“DC could probably make a lot more money with Superman and Batman if they announced that I’d have a cameo in it! People wouldn’t believe it – they’d have to go to the theatre to see it!”

I don’t know about you, but that would definitely give me more incentive to see the sequel to ‘Man of Steel’. But DC’s next film aside, what do you think about Stan Lee’s cameo in ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’? How do you think he’ll be interacting with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor?
