While he’s been talking about his involvement for about a year now, Mark Hamill was officially confirmed as part of the ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ cast a few months ago along with co-stars Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, and more. Now, director J.J. Abrams has already begun filming, so it’s safe to assume that it’ll be all hands on deck soon enough. But until then, Luke Skywalker took some time to meet and greet fans at Disney’s Star Wars Weekends for the first time and we might have an idea what he’ll look like onscreen after thirty years.

During his appearance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios over the weekend, Hamill took some promo photos with Mickey Mouse. Besides the pair wielding lightsabers, we also see that Luke has adapted a popular fashion statement of Jedi Masters Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-wan Kenobi before him: a beard. In addition to the new facial hair, we can see that Hamill is sporting a leaner, meaner look these days. The veteran actor is in his 60s, but he certainly looks ready to lead the next generation of Jedi against the Sith.

After hanging out with Mickey for a little while, he took to the stage for ‘A Conversation with Mark Hamill’ where he shared stories and took questions from the adoring public. Thanks to one fan’s question, the crowd was treated to a mash-up of epic proportions as the actor’s two most iconic roles reenacted a famous scene from ‘Star Wars’ that saw the Joker take the place of Darth Vader. A whole generation of fans grew up with Hamill’s Clown Prince of Crime in ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ as well as his X-wing flying padawan, so this is a pretty awesome moment.
