With such highly anticipated films like ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’, and (to a lesser extent) ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ presenting commercials during last night’s Super Bowl, it’s easy for other movie ads to get lost in the shuffle. Unfortunately, Jose Padilha’s remake of ‘Robocop’ might have been a victim of that exact scenario. However, that doesn’t make the latest TV spot any less exciting.

As the Denver Broncos waged war on the Seattle Seahawks (to no avail), OmniCorp’s latest creation prepares to wage war on crime later this month as the next generation is about to be introduced to law enforcement officer Alex Murphy, who is rocking some incredibly upgraded gear. The latest bit of promotional material for this upcoming film shows off as much action, explosions, and catchphrases it can in thirty seconds. You can check it out below, followed by the synopsis of the movie:

In ‘RoboCop’, the year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

‘Robocop’ starring Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, and Samuel L. Jackson will find you dead or alive in theaters on February 12, 2014.
