In 2013, Marvel’s heroes that made it to the big screen were entirely of the solo variety. Tony Stark kicked off Phase Two with ‘Iron Man 3’, Logan traveled to Japan in ‘The Wolverine’, and the God of Thunder finished off the year with ‘Thor: The Dark World’. But, in 2014, the House of Ideas is shaking things up a bit. Of course, there’s solo movies coming for Spider-Man and Captain America, but two teams will be the focus of upcoming feature films as well. Marvel Studios is rolling out James Gunn’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and Fox reunites Bryan Singer with the franchise that he started over a decade ago for ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’. And right before the New Year arrived, both teams were showed off in some brand new pictures.

Recently, Marvel released the first official image of Peter Quill and his band of misfits. Now, Empire Magazine has a new behind the scenes look at Professor X, Magneto, and their crew from back in the day. In the image below, you can see director Singer flanked by Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicolas Hoult, and Hugh Jackman in their 70s attire:

While it’s great to see these handsome gents together, one thing stands out in particular. If you notice, the former ‘Skins’ actor who plays Hank McCoy is not sporting his signature blue fur. Of course, they had to find some way to get Hoult’s pretty face in the picture somehow, so chances are that a temporary antidote to his condition might have been concocted in the story at some point since we’ve spotted the actor looking rather fuzzy in previously released set photos. I guess we’ll just have to wait until this summer to find out the explanation.
