Many people seem to forget that the Christmas season lasts for 12 days. I mean, there’s that song, but people still manage to forget. Well, at least Marvel Studios didn’t forget because on the final day of 2013, they have bestowed a gift upon us. After many months of only seeing concept art or set photos and hearing all these good things from various cast members about the film, we finally have our first official look at ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.
Recently, the casting of Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon and Vin Diesel as Groot were made official. Now, thanks to /Film, you can see what those characters will look like alongside their costars Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, and Dave Bautista. Plus, there’s a brand new synopsis for James Gunn’s upcoming Phase Two film that gives us some insight into what role Lee Pace’s Ronan the Accuser will play in the story. If this picture looks at all familiar to you, then you were one of the lucky few that have had the opportunity to see the footage of the movie that was debuted at San Diego Comic-Con. If I recall correctly, John C. Reilly’s character calls the team a bunch of assholes when this shot comes up onscreen. Or maybe you’ll recall a piece of concept art that showed a similar lineup of the team. Either way, now we have the genuine article to marvel over as we anxiously await the next sneak peek at the intergalactic adventure.
