Rob Liefeld took to Twitter with some great news for X-Force fans. Not only did he unofficially announce that the script for 20th Century Fox’s take on his creation is done, but he absolutely loves what Jeff Wadlow (‘Kick-Ass 2‘) had done with it!

As the militant side of the mutant universe that’s trying to do good for mutant-kind, X-Force, over the years, has had a roster a mile long. Apparently this version, according to Liefeld, will “appeal to fans of all eras” which will give us quite a few characters that they can pick from.

When it comes to X-Force, the central role almost all revolves around Cable. With ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past‘ introducing time travel in the script, I’m pretty sure it’s a safe bet we’ll have the original head honcho showing up soon. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if he is teased in the credits of the upcoming film.

It’s honestly pure speculation who we’ll see on the team. My guess is that we’ll see Hugh Jackman show up in at least a cameo as Wolverine if not be part of the team. We also know that ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ the following have been cast: Booboo Stewart (‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’) is set to be Warpath, Daniel Cudmore (‘The Twilight Saga’ franchise) is set to be Colossus, Omar Sy is set to be Bishop, and Adan Canto is lined up to be Sunspot. All of these cast members have been on the X-Force team at one point or another and could be potential members in the film version. Also with Cyclops going a little militant himself and being Cable’s father in the comic series, it could be an interesting way to bring James Marsden (‘Superman Returns’, ‘Enchanted’, ‘2 Guns’) back into the series.

So who do you think will end up on the X-Force team? With Warden’s experience with violence and Liefeld backing what he’s written do you have high hopes for the script? Share your thoughts below!
