It’s been nearly 10 years since Riddick was last seen on the big screen in ‘Chronicles of Riddick’. While most will agree the PG version of the Riddick franchise left much to be desired, after watching this latest trailer below, the bad taste of that sequel should fade to black… ‘Pitch Black’.
Vin Diesel has been hard at work making ‘Riddick’ the sequel worthy to follow the film ‘Pitch Black’ and it shows in this latest teaser for the film.
This has to be the best trailer for the film yet! For some reason, the production value seems a little more upscale than in the previous trailers, but one thing is for certain, this video makes the long wait for a proper sequel to ‘Pitch Black’ worth the wait.

The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.
The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of mercs, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.
Written and directed by David Twohy , ‘Riddick’ will be in theaters on September 6 and stars Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, Jordi Molla, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoff, Bokeem Woodbine, Dave Bautista, Conrad Pla, Raoul Trujillo, Nolan Funk and Keri Hilson.
