Last week, we were given a deeper look into the upcoming supernatural buddy cop movie ‘R.I.P.D.’ starring Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges when a behind the scenes featurette hit the web, but now we get to check out some actual parts of the movie.

There are three brand new clips from the adaptation of the Dark Horse Comics series from Universal Studios that have been released. Aside from one, all of these are extended versions of bits that we’ve seen in trailers already. They still, however, do a good job of setting up the new status quo for the recently deceased cop Nick Walker who’s still getting acquainted with his new (after)life with his wild western partner Roy Pulsifer. You can see all three clips below:

Since the announcement of this film, it’s been getting a lot of comparisons to ‘Men In Black’. Well, after watching these clips, it’s really hard to argue that they’re not practically the same, but is that really such a bad thing? ‘R.I.P.D.’ still looks like a lot of fun. Personally, I’m looking forward to this lighter comic book adaptation since not everything needs to be as dark as Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy.

What do you think about these new clips from ‘R.I.P.D.’? Will you be checking it out when it hits theaters later this summer? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

‘R.I.P.D.’ starring Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, James Hong, Marisa Miller, Mary-Louise Parker, and Stephanie Szostak rises from the grave on July 19, 2013.
