About four months ago, we found out that AMC would be renewing ‘Comic Book Men’, their comic book store reality show from acclaimed director and Hall H head honcho Kevin Smith and his band of merry men from Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash in Redbank, New Jersey. In only two more weeks, after the return of ‘The Walking Dead’, we can pick up with Walt Flanagan, Bryan Johnson, Mike Zapcic, and Ming Chen as we see what other geeky goodies and comic collectibles come through their door.

For season two, a few things have been changed around in the world of ‘Comic Book Men’. For starters, the season has been expanded to sixteen half hour episodes as opposed to the six hour-long episodes from season one. Next, the show moves to a new timeslot this season. Instead of 10:00pm, be sure to catch the crew at 11:30pm every Sunday. And although there have been a few changes, the guys are the same old lovable fanboys we’ve come to know. And yes, Ming is still the butt of most of the jokes.

Be sure to tune in to what The New York Times calls “a celebration of the deeply particular personalities involved when geeky merchandise changes hands,” and then check back right here at ScienceFiction.com for all your ‘Comic Book Men’ updates, news, and recaps.

And, if you’re feeling slightly more daring, go back and check out my coverage from the press day for the first season of the show back in February (which was also my first article EVER for this website), along with my other episode recaps and the interview that I conducted with Ming and Mike back at Wizard World Philadelphia 2012, which you can see below, courtesy of The Pretentious FIlm Majors:

The second season of ‘Comic Book Men’ returns to AMC on Sunday, October 14th at 11:30pm.
