‘Game of Thrones’ director Alan Taylor is bringing Asgard and the other nine realms to life on the big screen in ‘Thor: The Dark World’, which starts shooting in about two weeks. Over the past few days, the cast was being bulked up a bit with the return of Kat Dennings for the good guys and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje joining Tom Hiddleston and Christopher Eccleston to round out the bad guys. Now, thanks to Super Hero Hype, we get a glimpse of what the set will look like.

The site has a few pictures from the set in Bourne Woods, UK. Here’s the description that accompanies the pictures on their site:

“Thor 2 pics attached from Bourne woods, UK. Compact camera is a bit crap and security won’t let me get much closer but they’re OK. Filming due to start in 2 weeks. Will send some more before then.”

No word on what these sets will be used for exactly, but this definitely fits the quote reported previously that stated that Taylor was looking to make Asgard more tangible. You can see the photos below:

Judging by these pictures, they’re well on their way to that vision. More photos will probably arise soon, and we’ll be sure to keep you informed if anything good comes up.

‘Thor: The Dark World’, starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, and Anthony Hopkins, is scheduled to hit theaters on November 8, 2013.
