On the heels of the release of new images for ‘Doctor Who,’ BBC has just unveiled a new teaser for the first episode of Season 7, ‘Asylum of the Daleks.’
I suspect that show runner/writer/executive producer Steven Moffat had a hand in this teaser as the brief 20 second footage leaves you wanting more.
If you don’t want to know any specifics of the episode, then at this point, you can just jump to the teaser. But for those who are still with me, here’s the synopsis for the episode:
Kidnapped by his oldest foe, the Doctor is forced on an impossible mission – to a place even the Daleks are too terrified to enter… the Asylum. A planetary prison confining the most terrifying and insane of their kind, the Doctor and the Ponds must find an escape route. But with Amy and Rory’s relationship in meltdown, and an army of mad Daleks closing in, it is up to the Doctor to save their lives, as well as the Pond’s marriage.
Although the BBC has yet to officially announce the start date for the series, it’s been rumored that ‘Doctor Who’ will return to the airwaves on September 1st, based on the fact that the special New York screening for ‘Asylum of the Daleks’ will occur on August 25th. In any rate, Whovians around the world will only have to wait a couple more weeks before the mad man with a blue box lands back on our television screens.
