While DC is currently scrambling to build up their big screen presence by trying to put together a Justice League movie, Cartoon Network is helping the comic book company bring their characters alive in another medium. Just like they did with the ‘Star Wars’ trilogy, Cartoon Network, Seth Green, Matthew Senreich, and whole crew at ‘Robot Chicken’ will be targeting their brand of stop-motion humor at DC Comics with their new special adequately titled ‘Robot Chicken DC Comics Special’.

Thanks to Collider, we have a new trailer for the special. It seems to be filled with the awesome guest stars and hilarious sketch comedy that we’ve come to know and love from ‘Robot Chicken’ over the years. Check it out below:

In the press release for ‘Robot Chicken DC Comics Special’, Seth Green talks about how excited he was to work on such a project:

“Having been raised on DC Comics and the ‘Super Friends vs. Legion of Doom’, it’s exciting to tell a whole ‘Robot Chicken’ story within this awesome universe.”

Matthew Senreich adds:

“We’ve been working with Geoff Johns for over 15 years, so playing together on this special only made it more fun to work in the worlds we all love so dearly.”

The ‘Robot Chicken DC Comics Special’ will feature the voice talents of Green and Senreich, as well as Paul Reubens as The Riddler, Neil Patrick Harris as Two-Face, Alfred Molina as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion as the Green Lantern, Megan Fox as Lois Lane, Breckin Meyer as Superman, and more.

The special will air on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim on September 9th, and I expect Aquaman to be the butt of many, many jokes.
