It seems that November is going to be a big month for Marvel fans. First we find out that the Fantastic Four will be returning to it’s original numbering with the milestone issue #600 and the apparent return of Johnny Storm aka Human Torch. Today Marvel released two more ominous covers with the same ‘November 2011’ tagline, both of which seem to promise some shakeups for the Marvel Universe.

The first image is to ‘The Mighty Thor’ #8 and is a reveal of a character called Tanarus who is touted as ‘the new god of thunder’. What does this bode for Thor? We last saw the thunder god on the ‘coming soon’ teaser page for the sixth and final issue of ‘Fear Itself’ that releases September 14, 2011. The image shows what appears to be a wounded or dead Thor being carried away by his Avenger compatriots. Things aren’t looking good.

The second cover is from the first issue of a four-part mini-series titled ‘Victor Von Doom’ and shows what seems to be a younger version of Dr. Doom removing his trademark mask.
