Midsommar one sheet

The latest fully trailer is out for the cult-horror movie ‘Midsommar’ and it just keeps looking creepier! The film was put together by writer and director Ari Aster who made a huge splash in the horror scene with ‘Hereditary,’ and now we’re all excited to see his future work. Starring Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, William Jackson Harper, and Will Poulter, this trailer really ups the creep factor from what we’ve seen so far.

Films about cults are either cringe-worthy or have you gripping the edge of your seat, and this one looks like it could end up as the latter of the two. This isn’t going to be a jump scare film and psychological aspect that can be hit or miss with audiences. If you were a fan of Aster’s ‘Hereditary’ this feels like it will have the same style of horror and be worth checking out.

I, for one, am looking forward to it being released!

Dani and Christian are a young American couple with a relationship on the brink of falling apart. But after a family tragedy keeps them together, a grieving Dani invites herself to join Christian and his friends on a trip to a once-in-a-lifetime midsummer festival in a remote Swedish village. What begins as a carefree summer holiday in a land of eternal sunlight takes a sinister turn when the insular villagers invite their guests to partake in festivities that render the pastoral paradise increasingly unnerving and viscerally disturbing.

From writer/director Ari Aster (Hereditary) and starring Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, William Jackson Harper, and Will Poulter. MIDSOMMAR — In Theaters July 3, 2019.
