Marvel Studios didn’t announce a third ‘Ant-Man’ movie for its Phase Four, which spans 2020 and 2021, but there is no reason to believe that Paul Rudd and the gang won’t be back at some point.  And Michelle Pfeiffer, who debuted as Janet Van Dyne in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’, says she would be willing to return in upcoming Marvel movies.  When asked by Variety, if she would reprise the role, she replied:

“It’s possible.  If there is one… Oh yeah!”

In addition to ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’, Pfeiffer also appeared in ‘Avengers: Endgame’.  But long before her adventures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Pfeiffer starred as an even more iconic comic book character– Catwoman, in Warner Brothers’ ‘Batman Return’ in 1992.

Since then, the character has been portrayed on the big screen by Halle Berry (kind of) and Anne Hathaway.  And Matt Reeves has reportedly included Catwoman in his screenplay for ‘The Batman’.  This has led to a flood of fan castings, as well as actual Hollywood actors throwing out their names for consideration.

Variety asked Pfeiffer if she would be willing to reprise that memorable role, but she was much more skeptical about that, than she was playing Van Dyne.

“I would be surprised, but, um, who knows?  Anything can happen.”

When asked who she would like to see in the role, she replied, “I’m sure they’ll get somebody magnificent.”  When asked if Pfeiffer’s ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ co-star Elle Fanning could play the role, Pfeffer replied:

“She’d be awesome!”

Fanning would probably be fine, but reportedly, Reeves is seeking an actor of color with Zoë Kravitz’s name being specifically mentioned.

At any rate, Pfeiffer and Fanning co-star with another recent Marvel Cinematic Universe addition, Angeline Jolie (‘Eternals’) in ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ which opens on October 18.
