It’s Game On with NECA’s ‘Toony Terrors’
This past weekend we celebrated a Friday the Thirteenth, which as horror fans, is a holiday we always make sure we celebrate accordingly. The team at NECA definitely agreed and announced what many fear maybe their final ever Jason Voorhees figure. Due to licensing issues, NECA will no longer be able to produce figures of Jason Voorhees in the immediate future save for anything that was already in development prior to the rights issues. The last NECA Jason figure looks to be part of the ‘Toony Terrors’ line of 6″ animated style figures, but with a slight twist!
Some of you are probably saying ” wait, wasn’t Jason in the first wave of this line?”, and you would be 100% correct. The big difference now is that Jason will be redecoed into his classic NES video game colors as seen in the original ‘Friday the 13th’ video game. Jason is set to be joined by fellow horror icon Freddy Krueger, who is also getting the classic NES video game color treatment for this new ‘Toony Terrors’ Series 2.5 assortment. There is currently no word as to when Wave 3 will be announced or what we might be able to expect from it. But considering how well NECA has handled the first two and a half waves? I’d say the line is in good hands. 
Hot Toys Mysterio Update: Heads Up!
We recently reported about Hot Toys upcoming 1:6 scale Mysterio figure, based on the character’s appearance in the recently released ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’. As of the time of our original writing, it seemed as though Mysterio would not be coming package with and unmasked head sporting a look based on actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Thankfully for collectors who held onto hope, it looks like this was just another one of Mysterio’s illusions!
Hot Toys has released a new image and details for Mysterio’s release that includes new information about an unmasked head that will be included. Apparently if the fans cry out loud enough, Hot Toys is willing to give the people what they want! Mysterio is still not due in stores until 2021, but he definitely looks to be one figure that you will not want to miss.
