If you love Mothra in general and especially in ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters‘ then you’ll want to check out this featurette about director Michael Dougherty‘s take on the character. While Farmiga shares that Mothra is her favorite creature in the film, Brown adds in that “The cutest is Mothra because she’s so cutest and graceful, I’m a big fan.”

Dougherty goes into greater detail by sharing that:

“Mothra’s probably the second-most recognizable character from the Toho Monsterverse. She’s the only female monster, and she has always been a force of good.

I feel like it’s time that she really able to throw down with the big boys and not just flutter around and hover.”

Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic MonsterVerse, an epic action-adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah.
