We’ve previously had a chance to listen to the teaser trailer of Stan Lee’s Alliances: A Trick of Light and now the full trailer has been released! Yara Shahidi will be narrating the series and Lee’s comments on what they put together were recorded before his passing.
Of the project, Lee posthumously can be heard sharing in the trailer below that “we’re about to embark on the exploration of a fantastic new universe.” The idea for the film is to “consider a nearer, deeper unknown — one inside ourselves” instead of “science” and “the mysteries of the great beyond” which were more common themes in his past works.

This tale was created in a collaboration between Lee, Luke Lieberman, and Ryan Silbert. The final script was written by Lee and Kat Rosenfield, which is the tale that we’re being told here. There is no word if future installments were planned out or left in Rosenfield’s more than capable hands at this point.

Stan Lee’s Alliances: A Trick of Light introduces listeners to a mysterious young woman, Nia, whose fate is intertwined with a seemingly ordinary Midwestern teenager, Cameron Ackerson, whose quest for YouTube stardom takes him to the heart of the Great Lakes Triangle where he is imbued with the power to “see” and “hear” a new reality. As Nia and Cameron’s relationship grows, they conspire to create a more righteous online universe, dishing out justice big and small, but wind up crossing a shadowy outfit called OPTIC, which goes after them for its own nefarious purposes.
