Two Sentence Horror Stories

Anthology ‘Two Minute Horror Stories’ will round out The CW’s lineup of summer programs which includes 13 original series, the most ever for the network.  ‘Two Minute Horror Stories’, based on the online writing practice, began as a digital series, first on go90 and then The CW Seed.  Another CW Seed series, the musical comedy ‘I Ship It’ will also make the jump from digital to regular television, along with the scripted dramas ‘Bulletproof’ and ‘Pandora’, the game show ‘Hypnotize Me’ and reality/docuseries ‘Mysteries Decoded’ and ‘Red Bull Peaking’.

These join The CW’s existing summer series ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway’, ‘Penn & Teller: Fool Us’, ‘Masters of Illusion’, ‘Burden of Truth’, ‘The Outpost’, ‘The Big Stage’, ‘In the Dark’, ‘The 100’, ‘Jane the Virgin’, and ‘iZombie’.  The last two are airing their final seasons.

‘Two Sentence Horror Stories’ will premier on August 8, one week after the series finale of ‘iZombie’.  It was created by Vera Miao (‘Best Friends Forever’).  She also writes and executive produces with Emily Wiedemann and Chazz Carfora.  ‘Two Sentence Horror Stories’ has won awards in its present digital form.  Upcoming episodes will feature contributions from Nicole Kang (‘Batwoman’), Jim Parrack (‘Suicide Squad’) and Aleyse Shannon (‘Charmed’), Greta Quispe (‘New Amsterdam’), Wai Ching Ho (‘The Defenders’) and Kate Jennings (‘Notorious’).

Stage 13 Original TWO SENTENCE HORROR STORIES is an anthology series featuring disturbing updated tales of horror and haunting for the digital age. Inspired by the viral fan fiction of two sentence horror stories, this series taps into universal primal fears – death, abandonment, and loneliness – filtered through the anxieties of the most connected and racially diverse generation.

I don’t see how September counts as “summer,” but considering that it’s getting to the point where fall shows don’t premiere until October, I guess at the very least this will fill the airwaves until then.

Which of these shows are you most excited about?
