Chris Hemsworth Is Open To Returning As Thor

While it is highly likely that Chris Hemsworth will return as Thor in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ after the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame,‘ it hasn’t been clear how the actor felt about it. We’ve seen two of the other three original Avengers leave the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Tony Stark making the ultimate sacrifice play to save the world and Steve Rogers growing old, you have to wonder what the future holds for the Prince of Asgard.

It is safe to say that ‘Thor: Ragnarok‘ not only gave us a new take on Thor but it revitalized the actor’s love of the character just as audiences finally fell in love with what could be. However, every hero so far has only had a maximum of three solo films and with the “Avengers” franchise likely taking a break and his future in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ unknown, would the actor even want to keep playing The God Of Thunder?

According to Hemsworth:

“I’d still love to do more, to be honest. And I don’t know what the plan is. I feel like we’ve opened up such a different character. I feel more energized for the possibility of where it could go…But I’ll use that in other places and other characters if it’s the end here.

Personally, I’m hoping that after ‘Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3’ is released that Marvel Studios would consider bringing Taika Waititi back for another solo “Thor” film. This could set an excellent precedent for there to be a reason for a fourth Guardians movie as well!
