Neil Gaiman Shares That There Are Multiple 'Doctor Who' Easter Eggs In 'Good Omens'

While ‘Good Omens’ is about the apocalypse, we’ve learned that the series will only be one season long but it isn’t all doom and gloom for the upcoming Amazon Studios show! While talking at the ‘Good Omens’ panel at SXSW, showrunner and novel co-creator Neil Gaiman shared that his love of ‘Doctor Who‘ is going to be on full display for Whovians everywhere in the series and it isn’t just from having cast David Tennant in a leading role. The show will have multiple Easter Eggs appearing and Gaiman would love to see if audiences can spot them all.

According to director Douglas Mackinnon who is a fan of the BBC franchise and has directed a few episodes of the series:

“Not only do we have a Doctor Who, but there’s about seven or eight easter eggs.”

So, what kind of Easter Eggs might we see appear on the screen? Gaiman chimed in and shared:

“Jack Whitehall plays Newton Pulsifer, and the first time you see him going off to do a job he’s about to be fired from, his tie is actually the fourth Doctor’s scarf — really small, as a tie.

You know he must be an enormous Doctor Who fan, because he only owns one tie”

We’ll have to see if they go full-on Tardis or include a cameo with another Doctor before the show comes to an end. It would be fun if we had a surprise shot of a few other Doctors making surprise appearances as background characters.
