While we sadly won’t see Taika Waititi or Jemaine Clement starring in FX’s upcoming ‘What We Do in the Shadows‘ series they’ve clearly left their mark all over it. Based on the 2014 cult-classic the series follows a group of four vampires who have lived together in the United States for over 100 years. They came here with a mission but really had just been hanging around since arriving and dwell in Staten Island. As this is based in the same world as the original film, there is always a chance we may see a cameo at some point down the line.

While most of the teasers so far have teased the connections to the original film and being a mockumentary, this one puts a focus on the history of some of these vampires. We’ll get a good look at who Kayvan Novak’s Nandor the Relentless, Natasia Demetriou’s Nadja, and Matt Berry’s Laszlo actually are.

You can watch the teaser right here:

This is probably the most information which we’ve received of each of these characters so far and does a better job at letting us get to know the stars of the series compared to the other teasers. However, the one lead actor who is missing and doesn’t get a chance to shine in the spotlight is Mark Proksch’s Colin Robinson. We’ll see if another teaser will feature this energy vampire or if what we saw in the official trailer is all we’re going to get about him before the series launching later this month.

Are you looking forward to checking out ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ when it sinks its fangs into FX later this month? What did you think of the history lesson that this teaser tried to share with us? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

What We Do in the Shadows follows four vampires who’ve “lived” together for hundreds of years. After an unexpected visit from their dark lord and leader, they’re reminded of what they were initially tasked with upon their arrival in Staten Island over a hundred years ago – total and complete domination of the New World. But what exactly is the best way to go about achieving said domination?

Meet these mere immortals. Virgins beware March 27th, 2019 on FX.
