I suppose it’s best not to leave any stone unturned. With ‘Captain Marvel’, the first Marvel Studios movie of 2019, about to smash into theaters this weekend, Disney is pulling out all the stops to ensure that everyone knows about it. The latest promo for the film targets watchers of E! (so…. women and gay men?). The sequence of Brie Larson‘s Captain Marvel crashing through the roof of a Blockbuster Video circa 1995 was glimpsed in the film’s first trailer, but here is an extended look, with a couple of digital enhancements. While the Blockbuster was closed, two famous ladies were there to return their VHS rentals– ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ mom-ager Kris Jenner, and ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Lisa Rinna.
The promo is… basically what you’d expect. While Jenner may be forgiven for bad acting, isn’t Lisa Rinna an actual actor? Isn’t that her one job?
This new clip, which bears the E! watermark, was shared by Jenner on her Instagram account:
Rinna has been on ‘Days of Our Lives’ for nearly 30 years, although she left for a while to star on the original version of ‘Melrose Place’. For the past five years, she has been one of Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’. She was also seen wearing adult diapers on the red carpet in a commercial for Depend undergarments.
Jenner can be seen on E!’s ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ and its various spinoffs, which included 2013’s ‘Kris’.
