crittersBringing back ’80s horror has been popular recently and original streaming content has proven to be a lure for both Netflix and Hulu so it is no surprise that Shudder would combine these two in order to bring us ‘Critters: A New Binge.’ Clocking in at 8-episodes, this new horror-comedy is bringing the Krites back to Earth thanks to Warner Bros Television Group.

Joey Morgan, Stephi Chin-Salvo, Bzhaun Rohden, and Kirsten Robek are starring in the show with Gilbert Gottfried and Thomas Lennon both set to have cameos. Jordan Rubin, John Kaplan, and Al Kaplan worked together to write, and Executive Produce the series for the streaming network and will have Rubin in the director’s chair.

According to Executive Vice President, Blue Ribbon Content, and Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, Warner Bros. Animation Peter Girardi:

“It’s been more than 30 years since the Critters first landed on the big screen, and we’re incredibly proud to bring this cult classic franchise back to fans. Shudder is the perfect platform for this fun, scary new take on everyone’s favorite, furry extraterrestrial threat. We are committed to delivering Shudder members the best horror content available and this time we are also bringing the laughs.”
