Alien

Ridley Scott might never be able to finish the story he was trying to tell with ‘Prometheus‘ and ‘Alien: Covenant‘ on the big screen but it looks like there is one potential outlet for his work. New reports are indicating that there are not one but two different ‘Alien‘ television shows in the works and one of them has Ridley Scott on board as a producer with a release scheduled for the streaming giant Hulu. There is no clear indication if this will be the vehicle that Scott uses to finish telling his story about androids, God-like alien beings, oh, and those minor Xenomorphs that he has been trying to avoid in the last two films.

For the series that Scott is working on, he’ll be an executive producer on the show and Hulu will be working with his Scott Free Productions productions to develop it. No details are available about the second series which is said to be in development. It also isn’t clear if this show will end up on Hulu or take place in the same cinematic universe which all the films have shared.

With no movies on the horizon due to 20th Century Fox being bought up by Disney, this might be our only outlet for Xenomorphs for the foreseeable future.

I’m not going to lie, I’m much more interested in hearing about the second show which won’t have Scott taking the ‘Alien’ franchise and shining an increased spotlight on artificial intelligence.

Are you excited that we’ll be seeing Xenomorphs grace the small screen in “Alien” television shows? Do you feel that the Hulu series will be how Ridley Scott is able to finish telling his story about androids and aliens? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
