Silver medal-winning Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy has been cast to play Emma Robert’s boyfriend in this year’s ninth season of ‘American Horror Story’.  Kenworthy isn’t really an actor, although he has appeared as himself on ‘The Real O’Neals’, ‘Sharknado 5: Global Swarming‘, and the upcoming ‘Olympic Dreams’.

The show’s creator Ryan Murphy broke the news via Instagram:

Kenworthy reacted, stating, “I guess the cat’s out of the bag… I’m So Fucking Shook ILYSM.”

The other scoop here is that Roberts will be back for Season 9.  Roberts first appeared on the series as Madison Montogomery the bitchy witch celebrity in Season 3’s ‘Coven’, followed by a smaller role as Maggie Esmerelda, a charlatan fortune teller on ‘Freak Show’ and the backstabbing news reporter Serena Belinda on ‘Cult’.  She reprised the role of Madison on the last season, ‘Apocalypse’, which crossed over characters from ‘Coven’ and ‘Murder House’.

Of course, nothing is known about the upcoming season, as Murphy keeps a tight lid on such details, usually until right before the new episodes are about to begin airing.  For the last two seasons, the show has launched fairly early, in late summer/early fall in order that they can wrap up before Christmas.  In the past, the series would launch later and take a hiatus for the holidays, but after the new episodes failed to receive the same ratings, the decision was made to eliminate the hiatus by airing every episode weekly in one long run.

What do you hope to see on Season 9?
