Black Panther

Ryan Coogler’s ‘Black Panther’ is getting another shot at the box office! Starting this Friday on February 1st, 2019 there will be free special screenings for audiences and as the first superhero movie to be nominated for a Best Picture at the Academy Awards and having just won the Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by a Cast and Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble it is worth checking out once more on the big screen, especially for a free showing!

The screenings are happening to celebrate Black History Month and will run from February 1st to 7th. The plan is to have 2 screenings a day at 250 AMC theaters. On top of this, Disney has donated $1.5 million to the United Negro College Fund. This is a continuation of how they helped offer support after the initial success of ‘Black Panther’ when Marvel Studios and Disney ended up donating $1 million to the Boys & Girls Club of America so that they could build new STEM centers.

If you’re looking to check out a free screening of ‘Black Panther’ make sure to head over to weticketit.com/blackpanther today and see if your local AMC is providing showings.

Coogler is already working on writing and directing the sequel for Marvel Studios, so we’ll have more of ‘Black Panther’ on the big screen on the way, but this will help tide you over until it is released and honestly the spectacle portions of the film really deserve to be seen in a larger format.
