HBO and showrunner Damon Lindelof have been pretty tight-lipped as to what to expect from their upcoming adaptation of Alan Moore’s ‘Watchmen.’  Outside of a few animated stills, we finally are shown some footage from the upcoming show. In it, we get to see the secretive police force which seem critical to the plot, a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment with what looks to be Rorschach, and more!

Before you get your hopes up too much, this does firmly fall into the teaser category and isn’t a full on trailer. However, with the series slated to drop this year, I wouldn’t expect that we have to wait too much longer to start seeing more from the show.

The other thing to keep in mind is that this is HBO’s first look for the entire upcoming 2019 season so you’ll also have to check out teasers for ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Euphoria,’ and more. If you haven’t been following the early stills and casting from the series, it might be hard to keep track of which scenes are from the show.

You can watch the ‘Watchmen’ teaser right here!

While I quite enjoyed finally seeing more of ‘Watchmen’ it felt a bit too mashed together with everything else that HBO has out on display. I’m sure the network will give us a ‘Watchmen’ only teaser soon and hopefully it will include new footage as well!

What did you think of our first teaser for HBO’s ‘Watchmen’? Will Damon Lindelof be able to not only capture the magic from Alan Moore’s original series but expand on it in a significant way? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, WATCHMEN embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.
