Ron Perlman Shares A Meme To Respond To The Hellboy Reboot Trailer

Even for someone who is excited to see how Neil Marshall is going to be bringing ‘Hellboy‘ back as a reboot, I’m not at all surprised that Ron Perlman isn’t thrilled at the prospect of the movie being done without him. If anything, I’m shocked at how gently he is responding to the trailer’s release as the actor isn’t known to mince words about something he doesn’t like. As the actor has multiple times shown that he wanted to reprise the role to give fans an endcap to a trilogy, it just wasn’t meant to be.

While he is offering up a “no comment” to his thoughts on the trailer itself, there is a great meme attached to his message. You can check out Perlman’s reaction right here:

I want to clear the air that I am a huge fan of the original two Guillermo del Toro films and love what Perlman has done on bringing Hellboy to life. I honestly don’t know if David Harbour can give us a take on this iconic role which Ron made his own, but I’m eager to find out. The reason being is that as much as I love the two films that are out, I love Mike Mignola‘s comics more, and it looks like we’ll be getting more direct references to them in the reboot.

The new trailer has dropped to completely mixed results with a nearly even split on those who loved and hated it with very few on the fence.
