There was a pile of twists at the end of ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald‘ so of course talking about the films means that you’re about to dive into the deep end of spoiler territory. If you’ve seen the movie that shouldn’t be a problem, but it has to be said that the ending twists were really what helped make the film and going into it without knowing them is the ideal way to go.

So obviously that means there are spoilers ahead!

Here, we’re going to be talking about Dan Fogler’s Jacob and his character’s relationship with Queenie. By the time you get to the end of the film, it is clear that the pair just cannot end up working with both the law and magic working against them. However, love can take out many obstacles, and Fogler’s view is a bit more optimistic than you might expect.

According to the actor:

“What I was playing at the last scene, you remember how this movie ends with all the good guys looking at Hogwarts all lined up looking towards Hogwarts, and Jacob’s looking off the other way. What I was playing was, he’s hoping that she’s gonna have a change of heart and come back, and if she did come back, he would forgive her.”

With Queenie having felt that his love wasn’t enough and parted ways with him to join Grindelwald’s cause it would seem that all of the characters would be against the villains. Jacob is willing to keep an open mind and forgive the love of his life if only she would have changed her mind and returned. One would imagine that this is a plot point that will come back in one of the sequels though if it will be to Jacob’s benefit or an upcoming betrayal is still unclear.
