The cinematic universe which DC has been trying to build has been off to a rocky start, but Ezra Miller is insisting that we’re still going to get a stand-alone Flash film and he expects it to be amazing. The actor has been making the rounds for the recent release of ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,’ and it’s hard to avoid questions coming up about a comic book film if an actor is attached these days. While ‘Justice League’ seems to have been the final nail in the coffin for Henry Cavill‘s take on Superman and potentially Ben Affleck’s take on Batman, the rest of the cast seems to be doing well. ‘Wonder Woman’ was a smash hit with a sequel we’re all excited for and ‘Aquaman‘ already appears to have won over audiences before it has even been released!
While there are no solid details on a ‘Cyborg’ film, we know that at one point a ‘Flashpoint’ movie was in the works and was scrapped. This is unfortunate as it would have been the perfect way for the studio to reboot Superman and potentially Batman if they had gone that route.
However, not all hope is lost. According to Miller:
“Nothing is ever certain in this world, but as certain as things get, we’re making a fucking crazy-dope Flash movie. It’s one of my great life dreams, and just the fact that we’re on the way — anyone who knows about Barry Allen knows he may arrive late, very late, but once he gets there, it’s all solved. We have to trust.”
I’m sure much of Flash’s future will depend on how well ‘Aquaman,’ ‘Shazam!’, and ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ is received at the box office.
Do you think that we’re still scheduled to get a fantastic ‘The Flash’ movie from DC? Has the cinematic arm of the House That Batman Built finally course-corrected itself with ‘Wonder Woman’ and the upcoming ‘Aquaman’? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
