Erik Oleson Daredevil

The third season of ‘Daredevil‘ gave us a Matt Murdock who was ready to fully return to his life and showrunner Erik Oleson has ideas on where things can go from here. At this time the future of ‘Daredevil’ is uncertain as we’ve just seen Netflix cancel both ‘Luke Cage‘ and ‘Iron Fist,‘ but Oleson has high hopes that we’ll see Daredevil return for at least one more outing.

As Netflix doesn’t reveal its streaming numbers to the public, we don’t know how the third season performed compared to the previous two but external metrics companies are reporting that it looks as if viewership has been declining by as much as half since the second season. While the third season of the series has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike, no one is sure if the numbers will support another outing with the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.

While he didn’t give much in the way of details, here is what Oleson shared with his fans:

The third season left us off with Wilson Fisk back behind bars and Bullseye going through surgery to have his broken spine repaired and likely making him a more formidable foe for anyone who gets in his way. With Finn Jones’ Danny Rand and Mike Colter’s Luke Cage both having their stories left unfinished, it would be interesting to see if Oleson’s pitch includes cameos by either of these actors to try and tie up loose ends.

Do you think that Netflix will give us a third season of ‘Daredevil’? Will the series feature any of the other heroes which Matt Murdock has teamed up with so far? Share your thoughts in the comments below, True Believers!
