Gotham

With each new announcement about the fifth and final season of ‘Gotham‘ fans have been wondering how the showrunners are going to cram all of the new characters and plot points into a shortened season and now we know. It isn’t going to be quite as short as was originally announced! Initially, the studio has informed us that there would be only 10-episodes in the upcoming season and thankfully the network has decided to expand it by two more now we’ll have a 12-episode run. The extra two episodes make it feel like the cast and crew will have a bit more breathing room to finish telling us the story of how David Mazouz’s Bruce Wayne becomes Batman.

A month ago we heard rumors of 2 potential release dates for when ‘Gotham’ would return and they were March 15th, 2019 or at some point in January. It seems that the beginning of the year ended up being correct as Fox has revealed that Thursday, January 3rd, 2019, is when we can finally sit down and watch the chaos that will be the final season of ‘Gotham.’

The release date came from Camren Bicondova on Twitter through the official ‘Gotham’ Twitter account:

With the 2 time jumps, we know that Penguin is making a larger play to run the city and we will also be introduced to Bane, the real Joker, possibly Harley Quinn, The Mutants, and more.
