Blade Runner 2049

Titan Comics has teamed up with Alcon Media Group to bring us more ‘Blade Runner’ comics and now new details about the upcoming book have been revealed! Michael Green (‘Logan,’ ‘Alien: Covenant’) who was the screenwriter for ‘Blade Runner 2049’ has teamed up with Mike Johnson (‘Star Trek,’ ‘Transformers’) to bring a new set of tales that will be considered in-canon by Alcon.

This writing duo has previously worked together on projects for DC including ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Superman/Batman.’

When speaking about the project, Green has shared that:

“Every iteration of the Blade Runner world throws the window open a little wider. Mike and I can’t wait to see what we find outside.”

Titan’s co-founders; Nick Landau and Vivian Cheung released a joint statement where they stated:

“We’re very excited to have both Michael Green and Mike Johnson writing Titan Comics’ new Blade Runner comic book series. We can’t wait for fans to see their vision.

From the production side, Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove who founded Alcon Media added in:

“Michael Green and Mike Johnson’s clear grasp of the tone and nuance that defines the Blade Runner universe makes them ideal partners on this exciting new comic book venture with Titan Comics. We are eager to continue to expand and explore this fascinating world with such a qualified and talented team.”

At this time, the artists, release dates, and length of the run have yet to be announced. It isn’t clear if this is meant to be a limited run or an ongoing series.
