Walking Dead

The new season for ‘The Walking Dead‘ Season 9 is out and is quite different than anything we’ve seen before. There is fresh life growing over the logo that we’ve seen be worn down over eight seasons so far, and this visual shift suggests there are significant changes for the show as well. We already know that there would be a time jump moving forward and the way the world has changed during this time will be reflected here.

If you were wondering why there is a massive change to the logo, it is due to the plot being so different in the upcoming season. According to showrunner Angela Kang:

“In previous seasons, the logo in the main titles was gradually decaying along with the world and the zombies in the show. The solid stone letters overgrown with greenery in the season 9 logo reflects the fact that we’re jumping into a new chapter of the story where our characters are rebuilding, and nature is thriving — for better and worse.”

If you’d like a visual representation as to how the logo for ‘The Walking Dead’ has been worn down or changed over the years, Insider did a great job in putting together a composite of the show’s logos for the last 8 season.

Do you love that the changes in the survivor’s surroundings are reflected in the Season 9 logo? What will the fall of civilization look like in a world where nature is starting to reassert itself over humanity? Which of these logos has been your favorite so far?
