American Horror Story: Apocalypse

FX has released the first teaser trailer for ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’, and it looks like the end of the world, literally. The teaser alludes to a nuclear bomb and the Antichrist making mischief for the doomed people of Earth.

While the team behind ‘American Horror Story’ have characteristically kept most of the details under wraps, we do know that ‘Apocalypse ‘will feature a crossover between ‘Murder House’ and ‘Coven,’ and starts with the end of the world and goes from there. Maybe the most exciting news is that Jessica Lange will return to play her most iconic character from the franchise, Constance, in an episode directed by Sarah Paulson.

Other casting announcements have been made, but it is unclear whether some characters will be returning. Evan Peters is back, but it remains to be seen if he will play Tate, who’s trapped in the Murder House, or Kyle, the butler at Miss Robichaux’s Academy from ‘Coven.’

Paulson will be playing three roles, Billie Dean from ‘Murder House,’ as well as ‘Coven’s’ Supreme Cordelia, and a new character named Venerable. Cody Fern joins the cast, coming from Ryan Murphy’s other show, ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story,’ to play the grown-up version of Michael Landgon.

Surprise, bitches! Perhaps the best character from ‘American Horror Story: Coven,’ Madison Montgomery, will also return! Emma Roberts has said that character will be even “bitchier” than before. I don’t know how that is possible, but I can’t wait to find out!

‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse,’ premiers on September 12, and will also feature Kathy Bates, Adina Porter, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Billie Lourd, and Leslie Grossman. Check out the first teaser trailer below!
