From a crazy governor to a man who finds Atlantis, David Morrissey is now set to appear in Amazon Studios’ ‘Good Omens.’ While known to genre fans from ‘The Walking Dead,’ Morrissey has a long history of acting and can nail down both large and small roles. This one is going to be a bit of a smaller one for the actor. He is currently set to portray Captain Vincent who is captain of the pleasure cruiser Morbilli.
For fans of the novel who don’t recognize Vincent off the top of your head, please don’t beat yourself up about it! He only appeared briefly in Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s novel which the series is based upon. Vincent is introduced when his ship runs aground after finding the lost city of Atlantis.
You can see the official announcement which came directly from the series director Douglas Mackinnon in a tweet below!

It seemed impossible that any other top actors would be joining the production for this series that already includes the likes of David Tennant, Michael Sheen, Jon Hamm, and so many others.
As a captain, you have to wonder if this means Morrissey will again end up wearing an eye patch as a nod to his past work, though the image above seems to shoot that idea down. Still, it would be fun if they found a way to include it!
