CW charmed

The CW has announced its fall 2018 primetime lineup which includes all of their DC superhero shows as well as newcomer ‘Charmed’, a reboot of the late-’90s/early-’00s witch series.  The network is adding a new night of programming, Sunday and is stacking it with Girl Power.  ‘Supergirl’ moves to the 8pm EST time slot and will lead into ‘Charmed’ at 9pm.

Monday will now be the permanent home to ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ which migrated there after midseason earlier this year.  ‘Legends’ will air at 8pm, followed by ‘Arrow’ at 9pm.  ‘Arrow’ occupied Thursday nights last season, but its rating are slipping.  Maybe pairing it with ‘Legends’ will help.

‘The Flash’ will air on Tuesdays at 8pm, followed by ‘Black Lightning’ which was a break-through hit during midseason last year.

Archie Comics’ ‘Riverdale’ will air at the same time as last season, Wednesday at 8pm.  Also staying put is The CW’s workhorse ‘Supernatural’ which is going into its 14th season, and will remain in the 8pm Thursday slot.  It will be paired with ‘Legacies,’ an expansion of the ‘Vampire Diaries’/’The Originals’ brand.

Comedy ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ will enter its final season, airing on Friday nights.  The CW has also announced that this will be the final season for ‘Jane the Virgin’ and ‘iZombie’ which will launch at midseason.

Also being held for midseason is the reboot ‘Roswell, New Mexico’.
