VenomWell, it looks like we can finally put those “Venom won’t actually be in Venom” rumors to rest!

When the first trailer for ‘Venom’ was released in February, fans were very disappointed that they didn’t actually see Hardy in the Venom suit. The explanation was that at the time the trailer was released, production of the film had just finished so in Sony’s haste to get some excitement for the film building, there wasn’t any time to get any CGI effects done. Two months can make a big difference and this second trailer with the addition of the effects is, to put it mildly, spectacular!

The trailer gives more of the plot of the film

For those of you who wanted to see Todd McFarlane’s nasty creation come to life, this trailer won’t disappoint! The titular character actually looks like you would expect him to look like and the film will continue the comic characteristic of the symbiote referring itself in the plural using the pronoun “we.”

During a panel at Comic Con Experience Brazil, Hardy promised that the film will do the character of Venom justice:

“I just wanted to say that I give you my word of honor that I’m going to do everything that I can to deliver the best Venom that I possibly can muster.”

Thankfully,  it looks like Sony is up to delivering the goods!
