Avengers: Infinity War

Once again, we’ll be seeing some “science bros. stuff” when ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘ hits the big screen! Bruce Banner and Tony Stark have always had great on-screen chemistry as the two talk science while Stark tries to push Banner’s buttons at the same time, so it isn’t a surprise to bring back this pairing.

Only, this time around things will be a bit different.

While the Hulk was in the driver’s seat after ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and through much of ‘Thor: Ragnarok‘ we know that Banner missed out on the events of ‘Captain America: Civil War‘. This fight already will throw off the familiar dynamic that these two have shared:

“Well coming out of Thor 3, Banner’s had a life-changing experience in Thor 3 that makes him much more expressive and not so internalized, you know? So it’s not combative, but they’re not so in-sync as they were. Plus, Banner doesn’t understand Civil War. He just doesn’t get it.”

So while the two won’t necessarily be on the same page when it comes to what has happened while Banner has been off planet, they’ll still work great together:

“Oh yeah, there’s great Science Bros. stuff. There’s good Science Bros. stuff. We’re paired up again.”

However, Chadwick Boseman reveals that there is a no paradigm to this duo. While they’re both brilliant in their own right, Wakanda is going to completely throw how these two see both science and technology:

Boseman: “You definitely see where some of the gap is…You see where the gap is and what some things we’re able to do that they’re not able to do and that one you will definitely find.”
Ruffalo: “There’s no way to overcome what they’re facing without in some way coming to terms with their differences and embracing their diversity. That’s essentially a core value of the film and that together, only together, can they triumph.”

I’m pretty sure we’ll see all of The Avengers overcoming their differences and coming together to save the planet. If this happens by the end of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ or ‘Avengers 4’ is another line of thinking altogether.

Do you think that they’ll be able to capture the magic of Bruce and Tony from the first two “Avengers” movies? Will these two be able to science it up or will the technology from Wakanda humble them? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
