What do you want to see happen in the third season of ‘Stranger Things’? Odds are, no two of you answered that question in exactly the same way. That’s just one of the many factors that can make it so tricky to craft a follow up to such an unexpected hit. Not only do you have to do everything in your power to make lightning strike twice, but you have to do it with the understanding that everyone in the audience has their own expectations of where the story might go next.

And it’s not just fans who have their opinions on what they’d like to see. The show’s cast has its own wishlist. Recently, everyone’s favorite dancing sheriff, David Harbour himself, sat down with Entertainment Weekly to share some of what he hopes to see when the show returns for its third season. And being an actor on the series, much of Harbour’s hopes for future season have to do with the castmates he’d like to share the screen with, including a certain baseball bat wielding babysitter:

“I like that Joe Keery. That kid is hilarious and charming, and he’s a good actor. I would love to see some Hopper/Steve stuff, but I don’t know that that’s possible.”

That may not be too surprising. After all, if you’ve spent any amount of time watching ‘Stranger Things’, you probably wish you had a bit more Joe Keery in your life. But what about an on-screen partnership that might be a little more feasible?  Thankfully, Harbour has that covered too:

I like the tension that Joyce and Hopper have, but I also want them to be together, because I think there’s a lot of rich material in why they work, or why they don’t work together. I would like to see the truth behind that. So yeah, I’d like to see them get together, and then see if they can stay together. Or if they can’t stay together, if they tear each other apart. Because I feel like that’s a danger with them too. And also I just want to work with Winona because she’s amazing.

Who would you like to see Hopper share the screen with when ‘Stranger Things’ returns? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to check back with ScienceFiction.com for more on the third season of ‘Stranger Things’ as it becomes available.
