As we find ourselves only a few days away from the premiere of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi,’ the PR hype machine is firing into overdrive for the film. If you’re not feeling inundated with commercials, posters, late-night talk-show cast appearances, and Porgs screaming at you from every conceivable arena, then congratulations, you likely live under a rock – a rock that doesn’t get wi-fi.
Featuring visuals of two of the new locations in the Star Wars universe – casino planet Canto Bight and impending-battle-location Crait, this “Worlds of the Last Jedi” featurette premiered Saturday at the Comic-Con Experience event in Brazil. The video features behind-the-scenes looks at sets and locations created specifically for ‘The Last Jedi.’ Take a peek at the video, provided by EW:
This featurette is a little at odds with much of the imagery we’ve been given about the film so far; there’s long been an emphasis on the light side of the Force versus the dark side, but here the focus is simply on the impressive-looking visuals of the film. It’s a nice change of pace, to be quite honest.
Directed by Rian Johnson, ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Billie Lourd, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Benicio Del Toro, Andy Serkis, Laura Dern, Lupita Nyong’o, Warwick Davis, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, and Jimmy Vee.
