Maze Runner: The Death Cure

At long last, the final chapter is almost here.  Nearly a year after it was originally scheduled for release, ‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ will storm theaters on January 26.  Of course, the delay was due to the serious injuries that star Dylan O’Brien incurred while filming a stunt.  But luckily, unlike ‘Divergent‘, ‘Maze Runner’ and its director Wes Ball, and cast are back to wrap up the saga that began back in 2014.

O’Brien is back and joined by Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Giancarlo Esposito, Aidan Gillen, Walton Goggins, Ki Hong Lee, Barry Pepper, Will Poulter and Patricia Clarkson.

Here is the synopsis of the final film:

In the epic finale to the Maze Runner saga, Thomas leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet. To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze.

In May, Scodelario, who plays Teresa gave an idea of what fans can expect:

“I think we are really saying a great goodbye to these characters and we are tying up all the loose ends. This is a rescue mission movie. They want to catch Minho. They are breaking into W.C.K.D and we are kind of trying to understand the decision Teresa did in the last movie. That she is not just a betrayer.”

Are you excited that the finale of the ‘Maze Runner’ saga is almost here?  Is there anything you hope to see resolved in ‘The Death Cure’?
