As we find ourselves only about a month away from the premiere of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi,’ the PR Hype Machine is starting to fire into overdrive for the film. Expect much ado about Rey, Luke, Leia, and the whole gang in the weeks to come; now, we’re here to bring you a look at the newest of the TV commercials for the movie.
Featuring mostly recycled footage from longer trailers we were given not too long ago, there are some notable new images. Most prominent in this particular ad seems to be focused on Poe Dameron and his X-Wing piloting skills. Take a look for yourself:
As with much of the imagery we’ve been given about the film so far, there’s an emphasis on the light side of the Force versus the dark side, with the TV spot actually being titled “Darkness Rises,” per Supreme Leader Snoke’s quote to open the clip. Along with Kylo Ren and his relationship to Rey, we see a now-fully-recovered Finn going up against Captain Phasma, and the Alliance generally getting into space and land tussles with the First Order.
