ninja turtle ghostbustersWe all know the deal, and know exactly what to do when there’s something strange in your neighborhood. When there’s something weird, and it don’t look good, your first instinct is probably to pick up the phone and call The Ghostbusters! Well, now thanks to the team at Playmates Toys you’ll have an entirely new team answering the call… the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

This week at San Diego Comic Con 2017, Playmates Toys announced this new line of 6″ scale figures that mashes up the fan favorite ‘Ghostbusters’ and ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ brands! For this line, each of our four Ninja Turtles is dressed up to represent one of the original four ‘Ghostbusters’ characters.

Each figure comes packaged with a proton pack, a translucent ghost mini-figure (including some of your favorites like Slimer, a Terror Dog, or The Library Ghost), and other character specific accessories! While each Turtle is designed to look after one of the original Ghostbusters, the name tag on their jumpsuit is labeled with the actual Turtle’s name rather than the Ghostbuster. It’s like a dream mash-up line for every kid who grew up in the early 90s when ‘Ghostbusters’ and ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ where both unstoppable marketing forces!

Here is the full lineup:

Leonardo as Ray Stantz

Michelangelo as Peter Venkman

Donatello as Egon Spengler

Raphael as Winston Zeddemore

The details as to when we can actually expect these new ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Ghostbuster Turtles’ figures to hit the market are still scarce, but if we had to guess based on their theme alone, we would say you can probably expect these to release this fall in time for Halloween!

How do you think the Turtles personalities match up with their respective Ghostbusters? When you think about it, the only way this line could have possibly been made better would be to get April as Janine or Dana, and a Turtle Van re-decoed as the Ecto-1!
