It doesn’t matter how strong or intelligent they are, at the end of the day every hero is only as strong as their support team. Few heroes can truly make it all on their own, and almost every hero needs their team mates or ‘side-kicks’ assistance to truly be the best hero they can be and save the day! The first real side-kick (easily the most iconic) in comics is Batman’s very own Robin, who has a legacy worth celebrating! And what better way to celebrate this legendary hero than with a statue? The team at Diamond Select Toys certainly seems to think that it’s the perfect way to honor the character, and is doing so by bringing him into their DC Gallery PVC Diorama figure line!
The new DC Gallery Robin PVC Diorama figure is part of the ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ line, and is based on the heroes’ appearance in the first three seasons of what is largely considered one of the single greatest adaptations of the Caped Crusader’s adventures. This PVC Diorama figure stands approximately 10″ tall and features Robin in an action pose standing atop what looks like part of a roof and swinging a bola around as he prepares to throw it (and likely ensnare a villain no doubt!). This is a classic representation of Dick Grayson as Robin in ‘Batman: The Animated Series’, and the character truly looks like he’s come straight out of the screen!
