As epic as Thor and Hulk throwing down looks in ‘Thor: Ragnarok,‘ we’ve already learned that some key characters will be missing from the movie. We already know that Natalie Portman won’t be reprising her role as Jane Foster in the film and someone who is arguably more important now won’t be as well. This news could have some fans up in arms so I’ll, of course, throw out our spoiler warning before we go into the mess that Marvel Studios could potentially be created by not including this beloved character.

Still with me? Well, folks, I’m afraid that I’m set to be the bearer of bad news as Daley Pearson won’t be reprising his role as Daryl in the movie. For those of you who have been living under a rock during the fallout of ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ Daryl is Thor’s Roommate! Quite a few fans were annoyed that the God of Thunder seemed absent during this conflict when, unlike the Hulk, he should be able to be involved with what was going on and quite frankly wanted to be.

There was home that he’d be making the jump from the short films that he was in and onto the big screen. The news came from Chris Hemsworth during Australia’s Supanova Expo which had a ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ panel. Here is what someone in attendance had to say:

While he won’t be in the upcoming film, it looks like we can still have hope to see him down the line though I wouldn’t expect a huge role for him in ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘. If they follow the story arc from the comics, maybe he can be one of the many faces who are blinked out of existence with the snap of a finger by Thanos.

However, Daryl being gone isn’t the only change as Hemsworth also shared a bit about Thor’s home:

Between Loki running the show and Hela potentially invading the home of the Gods, there is plenty of opportunity for this city to experience some changes.
